For many years I went on vacation and returned home in a reluctant mood. I wanted to stay where relaxation was all around. Then one day it hit me like a ton of bricks. Surround yourself with resort amenities at home! This started me on my journey to create my home resort. It has been such a wonderful journey that I wanted to encourage others to learn to relax in their own home resorts.
Of course, a vacation at an all-inclusive resort is great, but what about the rest of the year? Since most of the year is spent at home I think it we should strive to create a resort atmosphere there. Many articles and idea's are listed on our website Your Home Resort.
For instance, I love waterfalls. I could spend hours watching and listening to them play the music of nature, so it is one of the main features in my home resort. Nothing grand, just a small tabletop fountain with flowing water singing its song. I also designed and built one on my back porch from recycled items that I found interesting, an old metal tub and a broken screen, combined with rocks and greenery, and the water pump. This is just one of many little things.
